VODACOM TANZANIA PLC PARTNERS WITH TANZANIA GOLF UNION TO BOOST GOLF DEVELOPMENT

Arusha, Tanzania:
Vodacom Tanzania PLC, in collaboration with the Tanzania Golf Union (TGU), has brought together 150 golfers from more than eight countries in a bid to strengthen competitive golf in the country and eventually on the international stage.

The tournament, Vodacom Tanzania Open 2025, entered its third day in Arusha, with Vodacom’s leadership team, including Board Chairman David Tarimo and Chief Executive Officer Philip Besiimire, officially opening the competition.

The initiative underscores Vodacom Tanzania’s commitment as a key supporter of golf development in the country, working hand-in-hand with the Tanzania Golf Union to grow the sport, nurture talent, and elevate Tanzania’s presence in the golfing arena.

By hosting this event, Vodacom demonstrates its dedication to promoting sports as a tool for community engagement and excellence, while providing a platform for local and international golfers to showcase their skills.
