Dar es Salaam, December 20th 2017 – One of Tanzania’s fastest growing online networking institutions, QNET, has donated a HomePure Nova Water Filtration System and groceries worth more than Tsh 2 million to Khayraat Orphans Centre in Dar es Salaam.

This gesture is a part of QNET’s social responsibility initiative – RYTHM (Raise Yourself To Help Mankind), which gears towards raising people’s life and making a lasting impact.

According to QNET Tanzania Agent, Benjamin Mariki, the direct selling company has a robust social responsibility policy that seeks to give back to the community in which it serves.

“At QNET, we believe that besides distributing high quality products to our customers, we have a social duty of supporting the community, government and other stakeholders in implementing activities that have a positive impact in the community, especially among the less privileged people in the community,” Mariki said.

The donation event saw the installation of one of QNET’s latest products – the state of-the-art HomePure Nova filtration system, which provides nine stages of filtration. Fitted with 35+ Ultratech Filter Technology that helps remove 99.9999% of viruses and destroys microorganisms 300% smaller than the width of a human hair, the filtration system is certified by renowned public health and safety organisations and backed by NSF International (a global, independent health and safety organisation). With this new water filtration available at the centre, all the 30 children will now have access to clean and safe water.

To bring more cheers to these children this Christmas, QNET also donated some groceries including 100 kg of rice, 100 kg of beans, 100 kg of flour, 60 litres of cooking oil, 100 kg of sugar, 100 kg of washing powder, assorted biscuits, sweets and juice.

Receiving the donation, Patron of Khayraat Orphans Centre, Khadija Hussein thanked QNET for the donation saying that it will go a long way in supporting the children at the centre.

“We are grateful for this donation knowing that the filtration system will assist in easy access to clean and safe water for the children, thus ensuring the health of the children by preventing waterborne diseases such as Typhoid and Cholera, while the food items will give the children the opportunity to enjoy the New Year Festivities,” Bi Khadija noted.
