NATIONAL BANK OF COMMERCE LAUNCHES DEPOSIT TAKING ATMS

The National Bank of Commerce Limited (NBC) has launched deposit taking ATMs in Dar es Salaam; the introduction of deposit taking ATMs reaffirms NBC’s ambition of offering real-time alternative cash transaction solutions for customers.

The cash deposits ATMs services will be available to customers 24 hours a day every day of the week.

“The introduction of these ATMs will ensure that our customers enjoy the convenience of being able to deposit cash into their accounts through our network of deposit taking ATMS. The deposits ATMs are fast, easy, convenient and real time,” said Raymond Mutagahywa, NBC’s Head Digital and Alternative Channels.

The NBC deposit taking ATMs are user friendly and very convenient. All that one is required to do is to insert your ATM card, press More Services and choose Cash Deposit. The ATM will open a slot to allow the customer to insert cash into the ATM.

He further noted that the new service of deposit taking ATMs will be available at Kariakoo, Kinondoni, Mlimani City and Corporate Branches in Dar es Salaam region.

The launch of deposit taking ATMs took place at the NBC Mlimani City branch and was witnessed by several customers who were impressed by the innovation.

Mutagahywa said that customers can deposit cash through ATMs machine up to Tsh 1.5m.

“These ATMs have come at the right time, especially, for our customers who continue to trade beyond our normal branch working hours. It will conveniently enable them to deposit cash at any time” commented Neema Munisi the NBC Mlimani City Branch accountant.

“We have launched these ATMs starting with 4 branches in Dar es Salaam and we will roll them out throughout the country in 2015. Our aim is to make sure our customers will be able to deposit cash any time even on weekends and after working hours”, added Musa. 

NBC has introduced exciting and innovative products into the market in the quest to make banking easier for customers in their journey to become the leading bank in Tanzania and to support their ambition of helping customers achieve their ambitions – in the right way.

Among other banking services, NBC customers can also send money to their loved ones who do not have banking accounts through the bank’s Cash Popote product. Recipients are able to withdraw funds from any NBC ATM.

This year NBC also upgraded its Internet Banking platform, which now enables customers to access their accounts and transact anywhere and anytime, through the NBC Online Banking service offering.

In March 2014, NBC introduced NBC Direct, a one-stop shop solution for salaried employees, who do not have to pay multiple fees and sign multiple documents for multiple products, with NBC Direct you sign one document and pay one fee for all products included in the selected package. 

This service offering is compiled of a collection of various products packaged together and offered as a bundle at favorable fees. The product is offered in three different packages, Gold, Silver and Bronze with the lowest package being charged at a monthly fee of less than TZS 5,000 per month.
