CRDB, UBA BANK GIVE 1.7TRI/- LOAN, RESOURCE MOBILISATION FOR STIEGLER'S PROJECT

CRDB Bank Board Chairperson, Ally Laay (fifth left), hands over a bank guarantee contract to TANESCO Managing Director, Dr. Tito Mwinuka in Dar es Salaam yesterday. CRDB and United Bank for Africa (Tanzania) have partnered in the historic financial syndication of 1.7tri/-. Third left is CRDB Bank Managing Director, Abdulmajid Nsekela, Egyptian Ambassador to Tanzania, Mohammed Gabel Abulwafa (seventh left), UBA (Tanzania) Managing Director, Unman Isiaka (third right) and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Energy, Hamisi Mwinyimvua.

The project will employ between 6,000 and 8,000 Tanzanians but wills start with 1,000 people next month and increase the number progressively.
