ABSA BANK WINS BEST PRESENTED FINANCIAL REPORT AWARD

Absa Bank Tanzania has emerged as the first winner of the 2023 Best Presented Financial Report award in the Mid-Sized Banks Category at the annual awards organized by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).

The 2023 awards witnessed intense competition, with 86 participants across various categories meeting NBAA’s criteria. The winners were presented with their awards by the event’s guest of honor, CPA Benjamin Mashauri, Chief Internal Auditor of the Ministry of Finance.

Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Mr. Muhsin Kaye, Financial Controller at Absa Bank Tanzania, said the recognition highlights the bank’s expertise, experience, and the skillset of its team in preparing financial reports.

This victory reflects our accountability as a bank, as well as integrity and transparency in presenting our reports. We assure our customers and Tanzanians at large that we will continue to prepare reports in line with the required standards and principles. This is a proud moment for our bank and our customers,” said Mr. Kaye.

He extended his gratitude to NBAA for fostering excellence in financial reporting by setting high standards. “We are honored to receive this award, which adds to our history of similar accolades from previous years,” he added.

Mr. Kaye further noted that the award aligns with the bank’s mission of Empowering Africa and Tanzania’s Future Together, One Step at a Time, driven by its brand promise; ‘Your Story Matters’.
