LIPA ADA WITH AIRTEL MONEY

Airtel Money Partners Acquisition Manager, Philemon Matoi gives instructions to members of the press (not in the picture) on how to use Airtel Money services to pay school fees today in Dar es Salaam. Airtel Tanzania has urgued Airtel Money customers and Tanzanians in general to use LIPA ADA with Airtel Money because it is a convenient, quick, safe, easy and reliable way of making payments.

Airtel Tanzania has today reminded its customers on a LIPA ADA payment solution, through which Airtel customers can pay school fees, directly through their Airtel Money wallets to the school. LIPA ADA na Airtel Money provides parents and guardians with a convenient and reliable payments solution, where there is no need to spent long hours standing on queues or trips to schools or payment facilities since now can be done from anywhere at time. It is convenient, quick, safe, easy and reliable way of making payments.

Speaking today in Dar Es Salaam, Airtel Money Partners Acquisition Manager, Philemon Matoi said, “paying your child school fees through Airtel Money Lipa Ada is very affordable and easier way of payment in a matter of minutes without ever leaving home. This is a solution for both parents and school. As we all aware that the month of January is one of the busiest months for parents to pay school fees for their children. I call upon Airtel Money customers and Tanzania in general to use Airtel Money as a not only a convenient payment method but also quick, safe and reliable, added Matoi.

For one to pay school fees by use of Airtel Money, he/she should follow the following steps
  1. Dial *150*60# to access your Airtel Money menu 
  2. Select option 5 Make Payment 
  3. Select option 4: Enter Business Number (Enter School Pay Bill Number) 
  • Enter the Amount
  • Enter the reference number (Student Name & Grade / Student ID Number) 
  • Enter PIN.
Matoi added “We are working together with the government on promoting financial inclusion in the country. We have expanded our network infrastructure all over the country – both urban and rural areas thus making our customers to benefit from our mobile money services in areas where the banking services are not available. It is important to note that Airtel Money has already helped reduce transaction costs, improve safety for individuals and businesses, and enhance the efficiency of the economy by reducing the need for users to travel long distances to bank branches to make transactions in person,’ he added.

Speaking at the same event, Kings School Headmaster Anthony Bizulu said , Lipa Ada na Airtel Money is an easy and quicker service for us collect school fees and other contribution, without going through sorting stacks and stacks of paper receipts or payment evidences and meticulously record those payments in a paper. With Airtel Money Lipa Ada, the school viewes the transactions through a system which makes record keeping very easy, manageable and allows us to be on top of our records. Its easily sorts out the students who have and have not paid. At Kings, we also use Airtel Money service disbursement solution for other important tasks, such as managing outgoing payments, teachers’ salaries and vendor payments, so that it becomes a financial hub for the school.
