GOVERNMENT VOWS TO WORK WITH NATIONAL BANK OF COMMERCE (NBC) TO UPLIFT MINERS

The Government said yesterday it will work with the National Bank of Commerce (NBC) to identify areas and places of training for artisanal miners and entrepreneurs in the mining sector to improve their businesses across the country.

The Minister for Minerals, Doto Biteko told reporters shortly after touring the on-going Geita International Mining Technology Exhibition. The Government was thrilled with the bank's initiative to expose local mining sector players with their counterparts abroad.

"We are ready to with with NBC to identify countries that are doing better in the industry", Biteko said.
