Salaam. The Vocational Education and Training Authority (Veta) has partnered
with Airtel Tanzania to offer five new courses through V-Somo -- a mobile
application –– to youth.
The new
courses are on catering and food service techniques, computer maintenance,
industrial electrical installation, plumbing and auto electricity.
The two
organisations have been providing other courses since last June.
After
completion of the courses, students are certified by Veta. Veta Kipawa ICT
Centre principal Lucius Luteganya said during the launch of the new courses
here that the increased use of V-Somo App had enable citizens in remote areas
to access vocational training at lower costs.
