COCA-COLA KWANZA RECOGNIZED AS A TOP EMPLOYER IN TANZANIA FOR 2026

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – 15 January 2025 – Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd, part of the Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) group, has been officially recognised as a Top Employer in Tanzania for 2026 by the prestigious Top Employers Institute, reaffirming the company’s strong commitment to people development, workplace excellence and inclusive growth.

The recognition places Coca-Cola Kwanza among an elite group of employers within the CCBA footprint, joining six other countries certified at national level. In addition, CCBA has once again achieved Top Employer Africa certification for 2026, marking the second consecutive year the group has received regional-level recognition.

Strong Regional and Continental Performance

CCBA’s operations in Tanzania, Ethiopia, South Africa and Uganda were all certified at country level, with each market showing improved performance compared to the previous year. The 2026 certification cycle also marked a milestone, with Botswana, Kenya and Mozambique receiving Top Employer certification for the first time.

The Top Employers Institute operates in 125 countries and regions globally and is widely regarded as the leading authority in human resources certification, benchmarking and advisory services. Organisations are assessed through a rigorous HR Best Practices Survey, which evaluates performance across six key domains:

  • People Strategy
  • Work Environment
  • Talent Acquisition
  • Learning and Development
  • Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
  • Employee Wellbeing

Commitment to People and Career Growth

Commenting on the achievement, David Chait, General Manager for Coca-Cola Kwanza, said the certification reflects the company’s continued investment in its people and workplace culture.

This certification demonstrates our commitment to unparalleled professional growth for our people, providing an exciting journey of learning and development within a passionate, caring team,” said Chait.

He added that Coca-Cola Kwanza’s success is driven by a strong people-first philosophy aligned with its business and community goals.

We thrive on delivering beloved Coke brands, making a positive impact on communities, and achieving market success together. We invest in our people to foster an inclusive and thriving workplace that accelerates our growth.”

Building Careers, Not Just Jobs

Chait further emphasised CCBA’s approach to talent development and career ownership:

At CCBA, we don’t hand you a role; we create an opportunity, give you the tools and challenge you to build a career—to make it yours.”

The recognition underscores Coca-Cola Kwanza’s position as an employer of choice in Tanzania’s manufacturing and fast-moving consumer goods sector, while reinforcing CCBA’s broader ambition to set the benchmark for people-centred workplaces across Africa.
