Kwala Dry Port, located in Kibaha District, Pwani Region, is a strategic inland container depot developed to alleviate congestion at the Dar es Salaam Port. Situated approximately 90 kilometers from Dar es Salaam, it serves as an extension to streamline cargo handling and improve logistics efficiency.

The port boasts a capacity to handle up to 300,000 containers annually, effectively managing around 823 containers daily. This capacity is three times that of the Dar es Salaam Port, significantly reducing delays and enhancing the overall efficiency of port operations in Tanzania.
