DAR PORT TO UP EFFICIENCY AS NEW MACHINES ARRIVE

Works and Transport Minister, Prof. Makame Mbarawa cuts a ribbon to launch the first batch of of TShs. 210 billion worth of machines purchased for Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) in Dar es Salaam yesterday. Efforts to up efficiency at the Dar es Salaam Port received a major boost yesterday after the arrival of TShs. 27 billion modern work equipment purchased out of TShs. 210 billion that the Government has disbursed for the purpose.

Receiving the facilities, including seven Reach Stackers, three Pilot Boats and a large Crane in Dar es Salaam, Works and Transport Minister, Prof. Makame Mbarawa said other machines have been paid for and would arrive in the country any time from today to June next year.
