UNITED BANK FOR AFRICA TANZANIA DESIGNATE MANAGING DIRECTOR MEETS THE FINANCE & PLANNING MINISTER IN DODOMA

Dodoma Wednesday 30 September 2020 - The Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer designate of United Bank For Africa Tanzania Limited (UBA), Kingsley Ulinfun and his team visited the Ministry of Finance at their Dodoma offices where they were warmly received by H.E Dr. Philip Mpango and his team.

During this visit UBA had an opportunity to discuss the progress of the bank initiatives in place to support the growth of the government economy and the general wellbeing of the Tanzania citizen.

The Minister of Finance and Planning (MoF) H. E Philip Mpango opened meeting by acknowledging various engagements which UBA has had with Government and in particular senior visits by previous MDs and Group management team and pointed out that UBA has been a good friend to the government by supporting various initiatives which include recent TANESCO loan and participation in supporting JULIUS NYERERE HYDROELECTRIC POWER PROJECT (JNHPP) (2115MW) by providing Bank Guarantees of USD 366mm, amongst others.

UBA Tanzania being a subsidiary of the global bank with presence in 20 African countries will continuously support the government projects and initiatives as it has demonstrated in the past through financing.

In other countries UBA has supported a number of government initiatives including Power, Sports and infrastructure improvements in the countries of existence. This shows true Pan – Africanism and strength as a global institution towards the improvement, investment for the development of Africa by Africans.
