NATIONAL BANK OF COMMERCE (NBC) LAUNCHES ITS BUSINESS CLUB IN LINDI

7 March 2020 - The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) runs a Business Club conference in Lindi, Tanzania. In addition to providing financial management education, business operations, and tax law, NBC Business Club also enables businesses to expand their business base by connecting with foreign and local businesses.

The bank has also conducted commercial training for small and large businesses with the aim of increasing their capacity, understanding, and creativity in doing their business.

The seminar held at the Sea View Beach Resort Hotel in Lindi region brought together businesses and entrepreneurs from different fields and together they became aware of the opportunities offered by the bank to members of the Business Club. Speaking at the workshop, NBC's Head of Product and Financial Services Headquarters in Dar es Salaam, Mr. Jonathan Bitababaje said, that the bank intends to simplify banking services for a variety of groups, especially the merchants that are vital to the country's economic growth.

He said NBC Business clubs are used as part of business management and customer loyalty strategy. The main purpose is to mobilize businesses and support them in the various opportunities available in the region.

"NBC B Club is an excellent place to educate business people on various business issues and since the founding of these business clubs, members have benefited from a variety of training, including accounting, marketing education, and corporate tax education. and the revenue authority in TRA,” He said and added.

Jonathan Bitababaje said the main objective for the Lindi region is to support the agricultural sector where the Crops and Crops crop is coming and its season is about to start. These two crops are among the major commodities that are being produced in our country and outside Tanzania.

''A trader as a member of such clubs will receive Term Loans, Extra Services, Foreign Technical, POS, Internet Banking, Current Accounts, Bank Guarantees, Agency Banks, and Insurance Products. '' He said.

And Lindi governor General Shaibu Ndemanga who became the official guest at the launch party congratulated NBC for deciding to support businesses in promoting the agricultural sector.

''We as the Government are committed to ensuring anyone who is willing to invest does not have any challenges that will make him unable to invest. Come tell us you want the land to do something and let me assure you with the benefit of Lindi we have a very good team that handles the whole investment issue. '' He said.

Shaibu Ndenanga said their goal was to make the investment manageable for the people of Lindi first. '' There is no sin you set up, one who comes into a partnership with you” He went on to say that there are opportunities coming and he would like the people of Lindi to see how they will take advantage of this opportunity through NBC.

He concluded by saying he wanted to see Lindi ready to take advantage of these opportunities and thanked NBC for seeing the opportunity in the region and for their commitment to helping Lindi's support of the agricultural sector.
