2 June 2019, Dodoma - QNET, a global e-commerce business, in line with its tradition and commitment to helping society, shared love, compassion and kindness by making donations and bringing joy to many less-privileged communities across Africa. In an exercise that was replicated across all the countries it has a presence in, in Africa, QNET along with its independent representatives, agents and staff brought joy, hope and smiles to many faces in the holy month of Ramadan.

QNET which is driven by the philosophy of RYTHM – ‘Raise Yourself to Help Mankind’ organizes this annual campaign to help enhance the lives of many less fortunate families and children, by providing them with necessities such as food, drinks and financial assistance for educational and humanitarian purposes.

The Iftar event in Tanzania’s capital city, Dodoma brought together more than 200 orphans from all districts of the region. Head sheikh of Dodoma region Mustapha Shaaban called for peace and urged society to emulate the gesture made by QNET in celebrating the spirit of Ramadhan.

In Senegal, Cameroon, Kenya, Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo, Guinea, Ivory Coast and Ghana, QNET donated bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, assorted drinks, toiletries and money to orphanages, Muslim communities, educational charities and the charity offices of Chief Imams.

Biram Fall, QNET’s Regional General Manager for sub-Saharan Africa, when commenting on the QNET Ramadan CSR this year, said:

“QNET has been consistent over the years. The Ramadan charity campaign is one of the ways we reach out to society to help people. As we make progress in our business, we believe in spreading the joy and fulfilment that come with it. It is indeed a very meaningful, heart-warming and fulfilling initiative for QNET. It empowers people, demonstrates love to communities and is also inspiring for our staff and our Independent Representatives, as they become personally involved in enriching the lives of others. Our business objective is all about creating opportunities for people, making lives better and empowering people to help them live an absolute life. We call that Absolute living.”
