EXIM BANK SUPPORTS GOVERNMENT EFFORTS BY DONATING 50 DESKS IN MOROGORO REGION

Morogoro. Exim Bank Tanzania has donated 50 desks worth TZS 5,000,000 to the District Commissioner of Gairo, Honourable Mrs Siriel Shaidi Mchembe, as a means of improving the education environment in Tanzania. The desks will be distributed to Kisitwi and Chakware Primary Schools.

Speaking at a handover ceremony in Gairo, the Exim Bank Tanzania Morogoro Branch Manager, Mr. Patrick G. Njole, said Exim Bank provided the desks in support of the government’s ongoing effort to deal with shortage of desks across the country.

“Exim Bank applauds the government for the effort made towards creating a conducive learning environment. By supporting these schools in Morogoro, it is our hope that this vision will extend towards regions outside major cities and into rural areas,” he said.

Exim Bank has a long history of investing in education facilities across the country. Mr. Njole pledged that the bank will continue in this vein by supporting government efforts to improve the education environment in Tanzania.

The District Commissioner for Gairo, thanked Exim Bank for their valuable support as it will help meet the challenges facing schools in the region.
“The desks you have donated will help to reduce the current shortage of desks in schools. We encourage other stakeholders to follow the example of Exim Bank in reaching out to regions that are still facing this problem,” he concluded.
