UNITED BANK FOR AFRICA ENHANCES THE PHYSICAL WELLBEING OF ITS EMPLOYEES

In a bid to provide a relaxed atmosphere for members of and also ensuring a friendly working environment, United Bank for Africa Tanzania (UBA-T) on Saturday, 12th December 2015 engaged in what it dubbed as ‘Jogging to Bond’ event which actively involved all members of staff jogging at Funcity in Kigamboni.

Given the elaborate nature of working in a bank, which occupies the human mind and brains the fundamental organs of a human being, the Jogging to Bond event is aimed at enhancing the physical wellbeing of UBA staff, relaxing their mind and brains ensuring effective performance of the bank as it relates to service delivery to its numerous customers. This also helps them to gain more fitness and energy so as to be revitalised.

It is part of the bank’s policy to keep its staff well and active at all times, creating a common bond amongst the staff especially the senior and junior staff since during the exercise, they have an opportunity to interact with one another and share their concerns ordinarily irrespective of grade or position.

The activity is unanimously undertaken by UBA employees on the same day all over the globe, in areas where the bank has establishments Africa & ROW. The event is done quarterly and it involves, jogging, football, tug of war, net/basket ball swimming and other activities which close with a strong breakfast for all participants.
