ABSA STRENGTHENS COMMUNITY COMMITMENT AT WORLD VISION JUBILEE STRATEGY LAUNCH

Dar es Salaam, February 27, 2026 — Absa Bank Tanzania continues to demonstrate its commitment to social impact and community empowerment through active engagement in national development initiatives. Yesterday, the bank’s Managing Director, Mr. Obedi Laiser, participated in the official launch of World Vision’s Jubilee Strategy (2026–2030) in Dar es Salaam. The event was held under the theme “For Every Child, Life in All Its Fullness.”

During the launch, Mr. Laiser exchanged greetings with World Vision National Director, Mr. James Anditi, highlighting Absa’s dedication to partnerships that create sustainable social change. In his remarks, Mr. Laiser emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in empowering communities, strengthening resilience, and expanding opportunities for long-term impact across Tanzania and the continent.

The event was officiated by Dr. Doroth Gwajima, Minister for Community Development, Gender, Women and Special Groups, and featured the unveiling of both the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) Business Plan and the National Resource Development Plan. Senior officials from World Vision, Absa Bank, and other stakeholders joined the Minister for a commemorative photo, symbolizing a unified commitment to advancing child welfare and community development.
