The event was highlighted by the announcement of the third and final winner, Ms. Amalia Lui Shio, who will be presented with her prize—a 2014 Subaru Forester in January 2025.
Speaking during the event, Ndabu Swere, Head of Retail Banking at Absa Bank Tanzania, announced the winner and congratulated all three individuals who emerged victorious during the campaign.
“We are delighted to announce Ms. Amalia Lui Shio as the winner of the third and final raffle draw of the Spend & Win Campaign,” said Ms. Swere. “Your story matters, and through this campaign, we have been privileged to empower our customers with opportunities to change their lives. Ms. Amalia Lui Shio will officially receive her car next month, and we look forward to celebrating this exciting milestone with her.”
During the event, Ms. Swere also handed over the keys to a 2014 Subaru Forester to the second winner, Mrs. Alyshah Aminmohamed Bharwani, who expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Absa Bank for the life-changing prize.
“I am incredibly grateful to Absa Bank for this campaign. Winning this car means so much to me and my family, and I am truly excited to be part of this journey,” said Mrs. Bharwani.
The Spend & Win Campaign, which was launched on 10 September 2024, gave Absa Bank Tanzania customers the chance to win one of three Subaru Foresters by transacting with their Absa cards or digital platforms. Customers qualified for the raffle by making at least 20 card transactions totaling TZS 5 million or more in a month, with additional digital transactions increasing their chances of winning.
Reflecting on the success of the campaign, Ms. Swere thanked all customers who participated and emphasized the bank’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions and rewarding experiences for its customers.
