FOOD & FUN TAKE CENTRE STAGE AS COCA-COLA FOOD FESTIVAL ENDS ON A HIGH NOTE

Dar es Salaam, November 24, 2024: The Coca-Cola Food Festival brought a feast of flavours and a celebration of culture to Dar es Salaam, leaving food lovers buzzing with excitement after a day filled with culinary delights and vibrant festivities.


Held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 710 Gardens in Kawe, the festival highlighted Tanzania’s rich culinary heritage while featuring renowned Kenyan chef and former rugby star Dennis Ombachi, famously known as ‘The Roaming Chef.’


The festival showcased over 40 local food vendors offering a wide array of traditional Tanzanian dishes, paired with refreshing Coca-Cola beverages.


From iconic street food to inventive takes on classic recipes, the event celebrated the diversity and creativity of Tanzanian cuisine. Dennis Ombachi, whose bold approach to cooking and engaging personality have earned him an international following, was the star attraction.


He joined talented local chefs in live cooking demonstrations, adding his signature flair to the festival and inspiring attendees with his culinary artistry.


Dennis Ombachi’s presence brought a unique energy to this year’s festival,” said Ms. Kabula Nshimo, Senior Marketing Manager at Coca-Cola Tanzania. “His passion for food and his creativity, combined with the outstanding talent of our local chefs, made this event a truly memorable experience.”

Mr. Jonathan Jooste, Acting General Manager of Coca-Cola Kwanza, emphasized the festival's deeper purpose: “This event is about more than just great food.
