Absa Bank Tanzania has reiterated its commitment to further invest in its digital banking services to ensure that banking services are easily accessible and cost-effective to the wider population

This commitment was made in Dar es Salaam by the bank’s Managing Director, Mr. Obedi Laiser, during the launch of Customer Service Week and emphasized their dedication to providing internationally benchmarked services to customers, both at their branches across the country and through digital channels.

"We take pride in our customers; you are the foundation and reason for our existence, we have invited you here to sit together and listen to how we can better serve you, but more importantly, we want to take this opportunity to thank you for your business support and cooperation," Mr. Laiser told some of the customers who attended the event.

Ms. Ndabu Lilian Swere, the Head of Absa’s Retail Banking, mentioned that Absa has consistently provided high-quality services, aligning with customer feedback and introducing various products and services to the market this year.

Highlighting some of the services, Ms. Ndabu mentioned the revamped home loan offerings, where customers can now build or purchase houses from various housing institutions with which they have agreements. "Another positive development following our customers' requests is our unsecured loans, which now allow our customers to borrow up to TZS 150 million at very favorable terms, not to forget our recently launched Absa Agency service, which our customers are now enjoying two months of fee-free transactions offer," said Ms. Ndabu.

This year's Customer Service Week is themed 'Team Service,' calling on employees to come together to provide excellent customer service.
