TANZANIA, UGANDA INK SECURITY, DEFENCE PACT

Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan holds talks with Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni at Entebbe State House in Uganda yesterday. She is in the country for a two-day state visit.

The Governments of Tanzania and Uganda have signed two inter-governmental Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to cement bilateral ties on defence and security as well as implementation of 400 kilovolt electricity transmission line from Masaka in Uganda to Mwanza in Tanzania.

Signing of the documents was witnessed by President Samia Suluhu Hassan of Tanzania, who is in Uganda for a two-day state visit and her counterpart, President Yoweri Museveni at State House in Entebbe.
