SERENGETI BREWERIES YAPANUA FURSA ZA KILIMO KWA WANAFUNZI WA VYUO

Meneja wa kiwanda cha SBL Moshi, Alice Kilembe (katikati) akizungumza na wanafunzi wa Kilimo cha Kilacha ambao ni wanufaika wa programu ya Kilimo Viwanda (hawapo pichani) kwenye hafla fupi iliyofanyika chuoni hapo tarehe 9 Aprili mkoani Kilimanjaro. Moshi - Kampuni ya Bia ya Serengeti (SBL) imeendeleza malengo yake ya kuongeza tija kwenye kilimo kwa kutoa fursa zaidi kwa wanafunzi wa vyuo. Ili kutekeleza azma hii kwa vitendo, SBL imeendelea kuwaandaa kimatendo waliopokea ufadhili wa masomo fani ya kilimo katika program ijulikanayo kama Kilimo Viwanda.

Kwa mujibu wa SBL, wamedhamiria kuwaandaa wanafunzi wa vyuo kujiajiri wenyewe katika fani ya kilimo baada ya kuhitimu kozi zao za stashahada ikiwa pia miongoni mwa nguzo zao za kujenga jamii endelevu ifikapo mwaka 2030 kupitia fursa sawa na jumuishi za elimu, ujuzi, rasilimali ili kujenga jumuiya shirikishi ambapo kila mtu atanufaika.

Katika hafla ya kuwatunuku vyeti vya utambulisho waliopata ufadhili huo katika taasisi ya mafunzo ya kilimo Kilacha. Alice Kilembe, meneja wa kiwanda cha Moshi, alisema, 'SBL inajivunia kuwa na historia ya kuimarisha sekta ya kilimo; tunafanya kazi na mamia ya wakulima nchini Tanzania ambao wao hutuuzia nafaka za kutengeneza bia kama vile mahindi, mtama na shayiri; kwa sababu hiyo, programu hii imeundwa ili kuwatayarisha wanafunzi kuwa wakulima wakubwa na wenye mafanikio katika kilimo biashara'.

"Katika kipindi cha miaka mitatu iliyopita, programu yetu ya kilimo pia imetoa msaada wa kiufundi na kifedha ambao umechangia maendeleo ya wakulima 400 na jamii zinazowazunguka, na tumeweza kukusanya malighafi hadi tani 18,000 kila mwaka, hivyo kukuza kipato cha wakulima na kuchangia ukuaji wa uchumi wa taifa kupitia ulipaji kodi wa mara kwa mara', alisisitiza.

SBL imeahidi kuendeleza mchango wake kuimarisha kilimo nchini kwa kuanza na vijana vyuoni kupitia mpango wao wa ufadhili wa masomo ujulikanao kama Kilimo Viwanda Scholarship, ambao tayari zaidi ya wanafunzi 200 wamenufaika tangu kuanzishwa kwake mnamo mwaka 2019.

Mkuu wa chuo hicho Benito Mwenda alipongeza juhudi za SBL katika kuwaelimisha wanafunzi kuhusu ulimwengu wa kilimo cha biashara. Mkuu huyo wa shule alionekana kujiridhisha kuwa mpango huo tayari umeanza kuweka msingi imara kwa wanafunzi akisema, ‘chuo kinapenda kuwashukuru vya kutosha kwa dhamira yenu SBL ya kuwasaidia wanafunzi hawa hata baada ya kumaliza masomo yao, naweza kusema SBL mmekuwa mfano wa kuigwa hapa nchini katika kuwekeza kwenye kilimo kupitia wanafunzi waliopo vyuoni. Hivyo basi, natumai makampuni mengine yatajifunza kutoka kwenu'. Alihitimisha.
