The donation we are giving here today is a result of Airtel employees own contributions who have been coming together to support the privileged and the needy people within our own society. People living in such conditions are humans just like us and therefore need care and love just like the rest. I must extended a warm congratulations to Airtel staff who have contributed their own funds and a result we have something little to present here today. In addition, I take this opportunity to congratulate Airtel management and our partners who have been supporting us for all that time, Lyamba said.
‘What we are donating here today will add a lot of value to the family of Mgolole Orphanage Center, although not so that much, added Lyamba.
Speaking after receiving the donation on behalf of Mgolole Orphanage Center, the center’s Assistance Manager Sister Valeria Mnyanzaga said ‘we truly appreciate the humanitarian assistance we have just received from Airtel. I understand we have such other orphanage centers in the country but your chosen to come to us. This is a blessing to us. As you can see, all this children’s you are seeing here are all orphans. They need to feed well just like others. Dress well, have a good quality education, love and care and most important, they need medical whenever they fall sick. We alone we cannot afford to offer all that without assistance from individuals and institutions like Airtel.
I take this opportunity to congratulate Airtel Tanzania for these donations and promise you that it will be used to cater the needs of these children. In addition, I call upon you to continue visiting our orphanage center, not only for donations but also have an interaction with these children. By doing that, they will feel cared and loved and see themselves just the same as other children within our surrounding community, said Sister Mnyanzaga.
Established in 1937, Mgolole Orphanage Centre has been caring and supporting orphans by offering them with shelter, food, education and all other assistances. One of the beneficiaries of the center, Sebastian Alphonce said that he grew up from the institution for all his life entire life. As you can see im old now. But I have grown up from this orphanage center, got education and have been a police officer. I retired from Police force in 2016 and returned back here where I live and offer support to other orphans just to show them that being an orphan is not the end of life. I have to congratulate Mgolole Orphanage Center for the care and support they have offered me for all that time. But importantly, I congratulate Airtel Tanzania for these donations as this is what makes these children to live and see themselves just the same as like other children’s in the society, said Alphonce.
