The week ending Friday 28th October, 2016 recorded a weekly market turnover of TZS 5.3 Billion, up by 39% from last week's market turnover of TZS 3.8 Billion.
The volume of shares traded decreased by 91% from the previous week and closed this week at 0.8 Million shares traded. The market leaders in volume traded were CRDB at 51.8%, TBL at 44% and DCB at 1.2% of total volume of shares traded (i.e. of the 0.8 million shares traded).
DSE Market Capitalization for Week Ending 28th October, 2016
Friday 28th October saw the DSE Total Market Cap up 0.9% at TZS 21.8 Trillion compared to the previous Friday recorded cap of TZS 21.6 Trillion. Domestic market capitalization also increased by 0.4% from TZS 8.16 Trillion to TZS 8.19 Trillion. This was also demonstrated by a 22-point increase equivalent to 0.9% on the DSEI index which represents all shares listed on the DSE.
