October 28, 2016, Dar es Salaam - Exim Bank Tanzania announced the launch of its new and advanced CCTV control room with centralized monitoring software that will manage all remote surveillance cameras and alarms in all Exim Bank branches nationwide. The new control room is a testament to the Bank’s continued commitment to employ technology and innovation to ensure a fraud free environment and a secure banking environment for its staff and customers.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Bank’s Headquarters in Dar es Salaam, the Head of Risk and Compliance, David Lusala said that, “Exim Bank is dedicated towards creating a safe and secure banking experience for its customers. We have an experienced, diligent and fully trained security team who are responsible for ensuring that everything is monitored and recorded appropriately. Any odd or suspicious activity gets immediate attention and appropriate action is taken. Customers can rest assured that we will always have up-to-date evidence in case of any malicious activities.”
On the enhanced whistle blow Channel, Mr. Lusala urges stakeholders to work closely with the Bank in reporting any mal-practice. This is in conjunction with the ongoing whistle blower/anti-fraud campaign which was launched this August during the Bank’s 19th anniversary.
