STANBIC BANK WINS LOCAL ACCOLADE AS STANDARD BANK SCOOPS 27 AWARDS AT SIBOS 2016

Stanbic Bank Tanzania has been crowned the best custodian bank in Tanzania by Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) for the role the financial institution plays in safeguarding assets of institutional and individual investors at the bourse.

The bank received the accolade during a ceremony held over the weekend and graced by the Treasury Registrar, Mr Lawrence Mafuru to honour best contributors to the growth of the DSE.

Simultaneously, Standard Bank Group, Africa’s largest bank by assets, scooped 27 awards from Global Finance, Euromoney and EMEA Finance Treasury Services. The awards were presented at the annual Sibos conference currently underway in Geneva.

Standard Bank was recently named Best Transactional Bank for Africa 2016 by The Banker, and has also been named Best Trade Bank in sub-Saharan Africa and Best Trade Bank in Africa awards by Trade & Forfaiting Review.
