Speaking at a press conference to mark the occasion, Jacqueline Woiso, Bank M’s CEO (Designate), said she was delighted to celebrate the Bank’s eight years in the market which have made the Bank the Preferred Choice of discerning corporates across the nation. Describing the journey so far as breath taking, Ms Woiso said that the bank closed the eighth year with total assets of TZS 809.09 Bln – a growth of 2509% over the asset level at the end of the first year of the bank.
Starting out with a single outlet on Nyerere Road, the Bank now has six offices including the Head Office on Obama Drive and plans to increase this to 10 by the next year. Since inception, the bank has carved a niche for itself in delivering innovative products and services most suited to its clients, backed by its unique Service Standard Guarantee for all products and services.
Referring to the celebrations involving the entire staff of the Bank, Ms Woiso said that being a part of this journey right from the beginning was personally satisfying and created a sense of achievement for all the staff of the Bank. We have crossed several milestones in this journey of growth. It gives great feeling to be counted on as the Preferred One among a whole lot of competitive established institutions.
She also pointed out that the Bank is being preferred internationally in the banking sector with the Bank winning awards for Best Corporate Bank and Best Community Development Bank in East Africa from the Banker Africa. We have contributed significantly in supporting community development activities through our Corporate Social Initiative – Money@heart, engaging with reputed and respected partners in facilitating sustainable projects in the areas of Health, Education, Environment conservation and promotion of local artistic talent.
We are proud to say that we are now the PREFERRED bank in Tanzania, concluded Ms Woiso.
