AIRTEL LAUNCHES 120-DAY PROMO

Airtel Tanzania has launched a new consumer promotion that will reward its customers, with cash prizes every week for the next 120 days.

The newly SMS promo dubbed 'Jiongeze na Mshiko' is unprecedented as it allows Airtel customers to enrol in a daily trivia game for free and stand a chance to win a grand prize of 2m/- at the end of the period as well as 1m/- every week.

'Jiongezee Mshiko' a Swahili word meaning 'add cash' will also give Airtel customers an opportunity to win bigger cash prizes by enrolling into the premium trivia game at the cost of 300/- per day.

"In the premium trivial customers will walk away with a grand prize of 50m/- in cash and weekly prizes of 3m/-."

Speaking during the launch, Airtel Value Added Services Manager, Ms Prisca Tembo, said "the promo summarizes Airtel's brand promise of empowering Tanzanians to realize their dreams and full potential whilst offering the most innovative mobile value added services, she said.

Airtel Public Relations Officer, Ms Jane Matinde said, "Customers will enroll to the FREE trivia game after sending the keyword 'FREE' to 15470 short code.

Once enrolled, they will receive a series of general questions on their phones and score points for the answers given, the more points accumulated in the free trivia will qualify the enrolled to automatically enter into the premium trivia for FREE.
