VP WOOS EGYPTIANS TO INVEST IN TANZANIA

THE Vice-President, Dr Gharib Bilal, has invited Egyptian business people to come and invest in the country as the country is the gateway to reach out over 400 million people market in eight landlocked countries.

Speaking here during a three-day Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) attended by over 2,000 delegates from 112 different countries, Dr Bilal said that apart from numerous investment opportunities available, investing in the country gives other opportunities of reaching the market available in East Africa Community (EAC).

“Apart from a number of investment opportunities in our country, we also stand a better chance for more opportunities as the country is the gate way of more than eight landlocked countries,” he said.

Dr Bilal therefore invited Egyptian business people and other business persons who attended the conference to come and invest in the country as the government is fully committed to work with them as well as ensuring their safety.

Also on the other hand, Dr Bilal lauded the Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, for inviting Tanzania to attend the conference saying that the country enjoys Egypt’s decision to rebuild itself.

“Mr President, we appreciate your commitment in conducting this great conference, this indicates that Egypt has rebuilt itself and that you’re ready to restore your position in Africa, Arab States and the World in general,” he observed.

“We congratulate you for your strong leadership and for continuing peace and stability. Our relationship is a landmark and we promise to cooperate with you in rebuilding your nation,” he added.

Also on his part, the Egyptian president said despite the fact that his country has passed through serious crisis but now stands ready to move forward, thus urged all those who intend to invest in Egypt to do so as his government will work with them in ensuring their safety.

“I strongly believe that after all we will quickly restore our position and role in the United Arab countries while also working closely with our true fellow African countries,” he said.
