The statement quotes the Colom Investment Vice President for Development Dr Gaidi Faraj, as saying that C Terra Hotel Mtwara will be a business class hotel with 75 rooms, including 14 suites.
The hotel will also have meeting facilities with board rooms, a swimming pool, restaurant, bar and a business centre.
“Colom Investment is committed to building business quality hotels throughout Tanzania. As we expand, we feel Mtwara is the natural next step for us, because of its growing economy….. We are committed to a long term investment strategy in Tanzania and look forward to growing the C Terra Hotel brand in the country and the surrounding regions,” said, Dr Faraj.
According to Colom Investment President, Wilbur Colom, the projects are being undertaken as joint ventures with local Tanzanians in Morogoro, Dodoma, Mtwara, and Lindi.
“We are constantly looking for strong local partners for new business ventures and to grow our brands,” he is quoted as saying in the statement.
There are plans to build C Terra hotels in several other cities over the coming years.
