BARCLAYS IN $15 MILLION SETTLEMENT OVER COMPLIANCE FAILURES

Barclays agreed to a settlement with U.S. regulators, who charged the firm with systemic compliance failures after it acquired Lehman's advisory unit.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission said Barclays would pay a $15 million penalty and said the financial services company would undertake remedial measures.
The SEC said Barclays failed to maintain an adequate internal compliance system.
