Dar es Salaam, Tanzania; August 4, 2026 – Stanbic Bank Tanzania Chief Executive, Manzi Rwegasira, is set to join an influential line-up of global leaders, policymakers, investors and development finance institutions at the Infra for Africa Forum 2026, underscoring the bank’s commitment to advancing infrastructure financing and sustainable economic development across Africa.
The two-day forum, scheduled for 5–6 August 2026 in Dar es Salaam, is being hosted by the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania in partnership with Africa50. It will bring together ministers, business leaders, financial institutions and infrastructure experts to explore innovative solutions for accelerating infrastructure investment across the continent. The event is expected to be graced by President Samia Suluhu Hassan as the Guest of Honor.
On 5 August, Rwegasira will participate in a high-level roundtable titled "Reinvesting for Expansion: Asset Recycling as a Multiplier," alongside Dele Kuti, Standard Bank Group’s Global Head of Energy and Infrastructure, and other industry leaders. The discussion will focus on infrastructure financing, capital mobilisation and strategic partnerships aimed at unlocking greater investment for Africa’s infrastructure development.
The following day, 6 August, Rwegasira will take part in the plenary session "Pace Setters: African-Designed, African-Led," where he will join senior executives from the African Development Bank, Ecobank, ATIDI and Angola’s Sovereign Wealth Fund. The panel will examine how African financial institutions, sovereign investors and infrastructure partners can leverage domestic capital, strengthen risk mitigation frameworks and accelerate infrastructure financing through home-grown solutions.
