MILU KIPIMO APPOINTED TO LEAD BOLT FOR BUSINESS AFRICA

Experienced Tanzanian Executive Takes on Pan-African Leadership Role to Accelerate Corporate Mobility Growth

DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania, July 16, 2026 – Tanzanian business executive Milu Kipimo has been appointed Regional Manager for Africa at Bolt for Business, marking a significant milestone for both the company and Tanzania's growing representation in senior leadership roles within global technology firms.

Kipimo assumes the Pan-African leadership position after serving as Senior Country Manager, where he oversaw Bolt's operations across South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia and Ghana. His appointment reflects Bolt's confidence in his leadership capabilities and proven track record of expanding the company's business mobility solutions across diverse African markets.

FROM TANZANIA TO PAN-AFRICAN LEADERSHIP

Kipimo's journey with Bolt began in early 2018, when he joined Bolt Rides as one of the company's earliest employees in Tanzania. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening Bolt's footprint in the country while contributing to its regional expansion strategy.

In 2021, he spearheaded the launch of Bolt for Business in Tanzania, building the operation from the ground up. Under his leadership, the platform has grown to become Tanzania's leading corporate mobility solution, providing businesses with efficient, technology-driven transport services.

His success in establishing and scaling the business locally laid the foundation for his promotion to oversee Bolt for Business operations across the African continent.

DRIVING BUSINESS GROWTH ACROSS AFRICA

As Regional Manager for Africa, Kipimo will be responsible for driving business development across all African markets where Bolt operates. His role will also include expanding and strengthening local teams to ensure businesses receive flexible mobility solutions, exceptional customer experience and dedicated account management.

The appointment comes as Bolt continues to expand its corporate mobility services, offering businesses an efficient alternative to traditional business travel arrangements.

BOLT CONFIDENT IN KIPIMO'S LEADERSHIP

Commenting on the appointment, Juliano Fatio, Regional Director at Bolt Business, expressed confidence in Kipimo's ability to lead the company's next phase of growth across Africa.

"We are thrilled to have Milu lead Bolt for Business' operations across Africa. His extensive experience in South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia and Ghana will support our journey as we scale across the continent and will bring a new perspective to our approach. The appointment underscores our commitment to this region as we look for even better ways to serve our business customers."

According to Fatio, Kipimo's deep understanding of African markets and customer needs will play a key role in strengthening Bolt Business' regional presence and delivering greater value to corporate clients.

"I'M HONOURED TO LEAD BOLT FOR BUSINESS AFRICA"

Speaking on his new appointment, Kipimo said he is excited about the opportunity to contribute to Bolt's ambitious growth strategy across the continent.

"I'm honoured to lead Bolt for Business Africa. I look forward to bringing more of my experience with South, East and North African countries to Bolt Business at a Pan-African level in order to drive the market's ambitious business growth goals, while ensuring the high-quality service our customers are looking for with Bolt Business."

His appointment reflects the growing influence of Tanzanian professionals in regional leadership positions within international technology companies.

SUPPORTING SMARTER BUSINESS MOBILITY

Bolt Business is part of Bolt's broader mission to create cities for people, not cars, by providing smarter, more sustainable mobility solutions.

Launched in 2018, Bolt Business enables organisations to manage employee transport efficiently through the Bolt app. The platform simplifies corporate travel by streamlining employee commuting, transport for business meetings and events, while reducing paperwork, manual expense claims and reimbursement processes.

Today, Bolt Business operates in more than 50 markets worldwide, serving over 50,000 companies globally as of December 2024.

As businesses across Africa increasingly embrace digital mobility solutions, Kipimo's appointment positions Bolt to strengthen its presence and support organisations seeking flexible, technology-driven corporate transport services across the continent.
