Dar es Salaam, April 24, 2026 — National Bank of Commerce (NBC), in partnership with Visa Inc., has officially launched the NBC Twiga Platinum Business Debit Visa Card, introducing the country’s first premium business debit card tailored specifically for enterprises.
The launch marks a significant step toward improving financial discipline among businesses in Tanzania, offering a solution designed to clearly separate business expenses from personal spending while enhancing accountability and transparency.
The unveiling ceremony took place at Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam, The Kilimanjaro, bringing together senior banking executives, Visa representatives, and key stakeholders from the financial sector. Leading the event were NBC Managing Director Theobald Sabi and Visa’s Vice President and General Manager for East Africa, Chad Pollock.
