EAIF 2026 CONVENES REGIONAL LEADERS TO ACCELERATE FINTECH INVESTMENT AND DIGITAL INCLUSION

Dar es Salaam, Tanzania — 26 March 2026 — The East Africa Investment Forum (EAIF) 2026 is underway in Dar es Salaam, bringing together investors, policymakers, regulators, and fintech innovators from across East Africa and beyond.

Hosted by the Tanzania Fintech Association (TAFINA), the two-day forum is being held at the Hyatt Regency Dar es Salaam, The Kilimanjaro under the theme “Fintech Forward: Innovation & Inclusion.” The event serves as a strategic platform to deepen dialogue, unlock partnerships, and catalyze investment in the region’s fast-evolving digital financial ecosystem.

Strengthening the Fintech Ecosystem

EAIF 2026 is supported by Vodacom Tanzania through its M-Pesa platform as the Exclusive Platinum Sponsor, underscoring a shared commitment to expanding access to digital financial services. The company’s participation highlights practical experience in scaling mobile financial solutions, while contributing to critical conversations around interoperability, regulatory alignment, and inclusive innovation.

The forum was officially inaugurated by Kennedy Komba, Director of Financial Deepening and Inclusion at the Bank of Tanzania, who emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts in advancing inclusive financial systems.

Platforms such as EAIF are important in fostering dialogue and collaboration across stakeholders, while supporting the development of a regulatory environment that enables responsible innovation and expands access to financial services for all,” he said.

Echoing this sentiment, Shadrack Kamenya, Secretary General of TAFINA, noted that the forum plays a critical role in aligning stakeholders around a shared vision for East Africa’s digital financial future.
