TANZANIA BREWERIES REAFFIRMS SUSTAINABILITY LEADERSHIP WITH 2024 REPORT LAUNCH

DAR ES SALAAM, TANZANIA, SEPTEMBER 23, 2025 – Tanzania Breweries Plc (TBL), a subsidiary of AB InBev and the country’s leading brewer, has officially launched its 2024 Sustainability Report under the theme Grow, Brew, Sustain.

The report highlights TBL’s strong commitment to responsible business, environmental stewardship, and social impact. It showcases progress in reducing carbon emissions, expanding renewable energy use, conserving water, empowering farmers, supporting local communities, and ensuring employee wellbeing.

  • 92% of packaging made from returnable or recycled materials.
  • Partnerships with 2,500+ farmers in Central & Northern Tanzania, all financially included and supported with extension services.
  • 25,000+ retailers empowered with financial skills, mentorship, and digital tools.
  • Zero fatalities in 2024, thanks to strong safety compliance and training.
  • Smart drinking campaign Enjoy Like a Boss (with the Red Cross) reached millions of Tanzanians, promoting moderation and road safety.
