DAR ES SALAAM STOCK EXCFHANGE CEO MEETS HON. MOHAMED MCHENGERWA

Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange CEO, Peter Nalitolela (R), met with Hon. Mohamed Mchengerwa (L), Minister for President’s Office - Regional Administration and Local Governments, to discuss strategic partnerships aimed at enhancing financial inclusion and fostering economic development through Capital Markets.

Amongst other things, the discussed agenda included:

1) Financial Inclusion: Increasing participation in Capital Markets across the country, especially in underserved areas;

2) Collaborations with Local Governments: Leveraging Capital Markets to drive Alternative Financing initiatives for Regional and Local Government l-ed projects;

3) Capacity Building: Joint programs to improve financial literacy and investment knowledge at the local level;

4) Infrastructure Development: Making good use of Capital Markets, and the DSE in particular, to raise sustainable financing for medium to long-term projects.
