FINANCE AND PLANNING MINISTER, DR. MWIGULU NCHEMBA MEETS AfDB EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Finance and Planning Minister, Dr. Mwigulu Nchemba (left) has an audience with the African Development Bank (AfDB) Executive Director, Jonathan Nzayikorera, who had just jetted into Dar es Salaam's Julius Nyerere International Airport for a four-day official visit to Tanzania.

The Minister for Finance and Planning, Hon. Dr. Mwigulu Lameck Nchemba, met and held talks with the Executive Director of The African Development Bank (AfDB) representing Tanzania at the Bank, Mr. Jonathan Nzayikorera.

Dr. Nchemba met Mr. Nzayikorera at Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam, while on his way to Bujumbura, Burundi, to attend the 43rd ordinary meeting of the Council of Ministers of the East African Community (EAC), scheduled to take place on 23rd February, 2023.

Mr. Nzayikorera arrived in Tanzania on February 21, 2023 for a four day official visit, where among other things, he will inspect the progress of projects funded by the African Development Bank.

Before his election into the post in May last year for a three-year term, the Rwandan Economist and Chartered Banker served as a Senior Advisor to the Bank's Executive Director representing the Eastern Africa Constituency, which covers Tanzania, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Seychelles, Somalia, South Sudan and Uganda.
