He told the bank's president, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina during a meeting in Washington that Tanzania had a considerable potential to produce both food and cash crops for its domestic consumption as well as for export, but more investments were required to enhance productivity.
"Tanzania has a huge potential to produce food and cash crops for itself and the world. However, it is high time we stop singing about the potential and do actual investment in agriculture and its value chain", said Mr. Azizi who is visiting the United States as part of President Samia Suluhu Hassan's delegation.
