AIRTEL SET TO UPGRADE OVER 400 TOWNS TO SUPA-4G NETWORK

Airtel Tanzania the Smartphone Network has started upgrading its 4G network in the entire country which will see over 400 towns countrywide switch to Airtel Supa-4G network and start receiving a much higher quality’ of service, faster downloads and 4G coverage. Monday 14 June 2021 - Airtel Tanzania the Smartphone Network has started upgrading its 4G network in the entire country which will see over 400 towns countrywide switch to Airtel Supa-4G network.

And with the Airtel Supa-4G network customers will now receive ‘a much higher quality’ of service, faster downloads and 4G coverage across more than 400 towns in Tanzania. ‘We have invested significantly to meet our commitment to deliver a world class mobile data and voice experience to our customers’ a statement released by Airtel Tanzania has said.

Over the weekend, Airtel Tanzania switched on its Supa-4G network by upgrading three major towns of Rufiji in Lindi region, USA River in Arusha and Ilula in Iringa.

4G services on dual bands of 700MHzz and 2100 MHz, will enable BLAZING FAST speeds of above of 40Mbps on Airtel’s Supa-4G network delivering a world-class digital experience to customers. With launch of ‘Supa-4G’ network, Airtel looks forward to further strengthening its bond with customers.

Speaking in Ilula, Iringa Region after launching the Supa-4G Network, Airtel Sales Manager for Ilula Godfrey Maneno said that Airtel is in process of upgrading its network into 4G being one of the company’s longtime goal of delivering high quality communication services to its customers’ country wide.

‘By upgrading our network into 4G is our longtime plan of improving our network infrastructure so that we can offer high quality of communication services to both our customers in urban and rural areas. We believe that communication is now longer a luxury but rather a basic need. Our customers will be able to improve their living standards with proper communication services’ Maneno said.

Maneno added, Airtel's Supa-4G services will give boost to the local community and enable local residents to enjoy digital services like HD quality video streaming, superfast downloads and uploads, high speeds internet browsing on Airtel’s state-of-the-art Supa-4G network

Also, for customers to enjoy the highest internet speed of Supa-4G network they need to upgrade their SIM cards to 4G SIM. Maneno said the Customers can upgrade their SIM in just 5 minutes in any Airtel Shop and moreover, Airtel is even giving free 7GB worth to all customers still using 3G SIM Card to upgrade to 4G SIM Card.

‘The launch of Airtel ‘4G-Supa’ Network and introducing affordable 4G offers is part of Airtel initiatives of improving communication services and promoting use of Airtel Blazing fast 4G network as it comes with the latest technology aimed at easing communication services” Maneno added.

On his side, Ilula Ward Executive Leader Ernest Sanga said after witnessing the switch of the Airtel Supa-4G in Ilula that what Airtel has done is will see customers have an access to high quality communication services in the area. ‘For now we residents of Ilula we are sure of quality communication services from now. We are sure to improve our social and economic activities and we really appreciate Airtel for that.

Airtel will this week continue switching on the by launching sites in Tazara Juu in Mbeya, Maswa in Simiyu region and Sengerema in Mwanza region.
