UBA BANK MARKS CUSTOMER SERVICE WEEK CELEBRATING “THE DREAM TEAM”

Dar es Salaam, Wednesday 7 October 2020 - In recognition of the crucial role played by its customer service officers and agents UBA Tanzania inaugurated the customer service week by celebrating with customers in a course of appreciating the front desk officers who go above and beyond to ensure the highest standards of excellence and customer happiness is served across the bank.

UBA Tanzania Executive team led by the Head, Corporate banking Mr. Mussa Kitambi, had a cake cutting and gift session to their customers and team as symbol of appreciation and celebration of the customer service week celebrated worldwide from October 5th – 9th,2020.

The theme “Dream Team” embodies all that the bank represents as encompassed in its Core Values – the 3EEEs: Excellence, Enterprise and Execution- winning together as a team.

The week-long celebration is the result of UBA’s commitment to enhancing employee engagement and self-motivation in offering best services to customers. In addition to the participation of the senior executive team all customer service officers across UBA bank received personalized appreciation for their hard work and continued service and dedication to bringing positivity and loyalty to the customers.

The significance of continuous excellent service delivery to customers- defying all odds in the face of the pandemic continuously innovating ways of staying ahead of competition in delivering seamless customer experience.

Starting on the 5th of October and continuing through to the 9th, UBA Tanzania marked the occasion with a number of activities and events. Every day of the week a senior member of UBA Tanzania’s leadership team took on the role of a customer service officer at the bank branches, serving customers alongside fellow employees at the headquarters whilst calling and sharing a note of thanks to all customers.

“Our primary objective is to imbibe and demonstrate customer first philosophy C1st philosophy as a ‘way of life’ in all our engagements with customers. This is truly our core essence and how we wish to be primarily recognized always, UBA is the undisputed customer-focused institution delivering excellent financial services from the customers’ standpoint”. Said Mussa Kitambi.

UBA Tanzania being a subsidiary of the global bank with presence in 20 African countries and is on the right trajectory to entrenching itself as the preferred bank in the hearts of customers. In Tanzania, UBA has supported the growth of the economy through various initiatives which include recent TANESCO loan and participation in supporting JULIUS NYERERE HYDROELECTRIC POWER PROJECT (JNHPP) (2115MW) by providing Bank Guarantees of USD 366mm, amongst others.
