BENKI YA NCBA YAENDELEA KUPANUA WIGO WAKE, YAFUNGUA TAWI JIPYA ZANZIBAR

Waziri wa Fedha na Mipango wa Zanzibar, Mhe. Balozi, Mohamed Ramia Abdiwawa (wa pili kulia) akizindua nembo ya benki ya NCBA kwenye hafla ya uzinduzi wa tawi jipya la benki hiyo lililopo jengo la Muzamil mtaa wa Mlandege mjini Zanzibar. Wengine kutoka kulia ni Mkuu wa Mkoa Mjini Magharibi, Mhe. Hassan Khatib, Mkurugenzi Mkuu wa NCBA Bank Tanzania Limited, Margaret Karume, Mshauri wa Raisi wa Zanzibar, Mhe. Abdulrahman Mwinyimbegu, Naibu Waziri wa Biashara na Viwanda Zanzibar, Mhe. Hassan Hafidh na mwisho kushoto ni Mkurugenzi wa Biashara na Huduma za Kidigitali NCBA Bank, Gift Shoko.

Waziri wa Fedha na Mipango wa Zanzibar, Mhe. Balozi, Mohamed Ramia Abdiwawa akipokea zawadi kutoka kwa Mkurugenzi Mkuu wa Benki ya NCBA nchini, Margaret Karume kwenye hafla ya uzinduzi wa tawi jipya la Benki hiyo lililopo jengo la Muzamil mtaa wa Mlandege mjini Zanzibar.
Benki ya NCBA imedhamiria kuchangia juhudi za maendeleo za dira mpya ya Maendeleo ya Zanzibar ya mwaka 2020-2050
Zanzibar. NCBA Bank Tanzania Limited (NCBA) ilisherehekea hatua nyingine ya kihistoria ya ujio wake nchini kwa kuzindua tawi jingine jipya visiwani Zanzibar jumamosi ya tarehe 26 Septemba. Tawi hili linapatikana Mtaa wa Mlandege, Kituo cha Muzzamil.

Hafla hii ni kati ya sherehe zinazoendelea za ujio wa Benki ya NCBA ambayo ni muunganiko wa hiari kati ya NIC Bank (T) Limited na CBA Bank (T) Limited ambapo huduma rasmi za taasisi hii mpya zilianza tarehe 8 Julai 2020 baada ya idhini ya Benki Kuu ya Tanzania.

Waziri wa Fedha na Mipango wa Zanzibar, Mhe Balozi Mohamed Ramia Abdiwawa alikua mgeni rasmi kwenye hafla hiyo aliipongeza Benki ya NCBA kwa juhudi zao za kuungana.

Waziri aligusia maeneo muhimu ambayo serikali ya Mapinduzi imefanikiwa katika maono yao ya maendeleo ya 2020, na alitoa wito kwa Benki ya NCBA kusaidia inapobidi kutokana na nguvu zake za kifedha na uimara kama taasisi ya fedha kwenye Dira mpya ya maendeleo ya Zanzibar ya 2050; alinukuliwa, ‘‘Katika kipindi cha miaka ishirini iliyopita, uchumi wetu umekuwa ukikua kwa kiwango cha kila mwaka kwa zaidi ya asilimia 4. Haya yamefanikiwa pamoja na kukuza kilimo, ushupavu na ushindani katika tasnia ya utalii, huduma na sekta zingine za uzalishaji wa uchumi. Tumeweka pia mifumo na sera ngumu ili kukabiliana na changamoto za soko linalobadilika na hali ya kiteknolojia ulimwenguni’’.

Aliendelea kusema, ‘kwa hivyo basi, Benki ya NCBA Zanzibar imekuja wakati muafaka na unatia hamasa kwasababu uchumi wetu umepata mshirika mpya atakaeleta nguvu zaidi kwenye kusaidia mabadiliko ya uchumi wetu kuwa bluu (yaani blue economy) kama ilivyowekwa kwenye Dira mpya ya maendeleo Zanzibar ya 2020/2050’.

Waziri aliendelea kusisitiza umuhimu wa kuimarisha sekta muhimu za uchumi zilizoathiriwa na janga la kimataifa la homa ya mapafu (COVID19). Alisema, ‘…kwa Zanzibar na ilivyo Tanzania Bara, utalii umeathirika sana kutokana na janga la kimataifa la COVID19 iliyosababisha idadi ya watalii kupungua kwa kiasi kikubwa katika miezi sita iliyopita’.

Aliendelea, ‘tunafurahi sana kuona kwamba Tanzania bara na Visiwani Zanzibar ilivuka salama kwenye hicho kipindi cha ugonjwa huu mbaya na mipaka yetu ikaendelea kuwa wazi na salama kwa watalii. Serikali ya Mapinduzi ya Zanzibar bado inaendelea kufanya kazi kwa bidii ili kuimarisha sekta hii muhimu. Kwa hivyo tunaiomba Benki ya NCBA kama mdau mwenye nguvu wa huduma za kifedha kuchangia katika juhudi zetu za kuimarisha uchumi wetu’.

‘Hivyo basi, tunahitaji kuwa na mikakati mipya ya kuhakikisha tunaleta uvumbuzi katika utoaji wa bidhaa na huduma bora za Kibenki zitakazokuza maisha ya watu na uchumi wetu kwa urahisi. Hili litafanikiwa kama wananchi wataweza kupata huduma za kifedha kwa urahisi bila kujali wapi walipo nchini’.

Mkurugenzi Mkuu na Afisa Mkuu Mtendaji wa benki ya NCBA, Bi Margaret Karume, alimshukuru Waziri pamoja na waheshimiwa wageni waalikwa kwa utayari wao wa kuiunga mkono Benki ya NCBA. Margaret Karume alisisitiza umuhimu kwa Benki ya NCBA kuunga mkono mageuzi ya kiuchumi kupitia Dira ya Maendeleo ya 2050, Zanzibar. Alisema, ‘hali kadhalika, Benki ya NCBA bank inajivunia kuanzisha huduma zake Zanzibar wakati ambao Serikali ya Mapinduzi ya Zanzibar chini ya uongozi mahiri wa Rais Dkt Ali Mohamed Shein imezindua rasmi Dira yake mpya ya maendeleo ya Uchumi wa Bluu (yaani the blue economy development vision) kwa miaka 2020 hadi 2050’.

‘Tunathibitisha dhamira yetu ya kuunga mkono juhudi za serikali za kuimarisha uchumi na kuimarisha matarajio yetu ya kufikia uchumi wa kipato cha kati’.

Bi Margaret Karume aliwahakikishia wadau, wageni na wateja kuwa Benki inatoa huduma bora za kiwango cha kimataifa mahali popote walipo. Alisema, ‘Ninayofuraha ya kuwa hakikishia wateja wetu wote kuwa wapo huru kutembelea tawi lolote lile la NCBA Bank ili kupata huduma zile zile bora kwa kiwango cha kimaitaifa, iwe hapa visiwani Zanzibar ama katika miji mingine bara. Pia, kufuatia muunganiko wetu, wateja wana uhuru na urahisi wa kutumia mashine yoyote ile ya ATM yenye nembo ya NCBA Bank ukiwa Mwanza, Arusha, Zanzibar, Dar es salaam ama katika nchi jirani za Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, na Ivory Coast’.

Uzinduzi wa tawi hili la Zanzibar ni miongoni mwa matawi 12 mapya ya Benki ya NCBA kote nchini baada ya uzinduzi wa Makao Makuu na Tawi Kuu mkoani Dar es Salaam mnamo tarehe 19 Agosti 2020, iliyofuatiwa na uzinduzi wa matawi mawili jijini Arusha mnamo tarehe 19 Septemba 2020. Katika siku za usoni, Benki ya NCBA itazindua matawi zaidi ambayo tayari yameanza kutoa huduma katika mikoa mingine nchini Tanzania.
