ABSA BANK TANZANIA PLEDGES MORE SUPPORT IN SPORTS

ABSA Bank Tanzania promised to keep on supporting different sports events in the country after it sponsored this year’s Kilimanjaro Marathon competition held in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region over the weekend.

Speaking during the event in Moshi, Head of Marketing and Corporate Relations of Absa Bank Tanzania, Aron Luhanga said it is known by many that Absa Group is the main sponsor of English Premier League (EPL) as well as South African Premier League, hence there was nothing to stop them widen their sponsorship in Tanzania for more sports apart from athletics.

“We at Absa, believe in ‘africanacity’ i.e. assisting people or our customers to achieve their targets. By sponsoring Kilimanjaro Marathon we believe that we assist athletes to achieve their dreams.

“This is our second time to sponsor Kili Marathon and we are very happy to be part of Kili Marathon’s success as sports stakeholders in Tanzania,” said Aron and added:

“We call for people to participate in sports and exercise for the betterment of their health, but we also urge them to join Absa Bank Tanzania to get better financial services as we have improved our services after changing our name.”

Absa not only sponsored drinks and refreshment center, but also send some of its staff and customers to participate in the world famous marathon event.
