Tanzania's Capital Markets and Securities Authority (CMSA) has won the ‘’Most Innovative Capital Markets Regulator in Africa’’ award for the year 2016.
The award was conferred by Africa Investor, an investment and communications group, in New York on 19th September 2016. While Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) scooped the Best African Listing Award in 2016.
The awards, which were launched in 2007 and linked to the Africa investor (Ai) Index Series, are Pan-African awards designed to recognize Africa’s best performing regulators, stock exchanges, and listed companies.
Also in investment banks, research teams, regulators, socially responsible companies, and sovereign wealth and pension fund investors. CMSA beat nine other capital market regulators in the continent include from South Africa, Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Botswana and Namibia.
