After covering thousands of miles with
a journey that began with one step, The 2014 Serengeti Fiesta festivals are set
to end in Dar at the Leadesr club this weekend.
T.I –USA, Waje-Nigeria, Ash Hamman-Dubai and Victoria Kimani-Kenya are the international artists expected to land at the
Julius Nyerere International airport today for the 2014 Serengeti Fiesta finals
this Saturday.
A Swahili saying that says “Hayawi
hayawi mwisho huwa” will be justified today as thousands of fans in Tanzania
get set to be full at the Mwl. Julius Nyerere International airport to welcome T.I and other international artists
that will rock the stage of Serengeti Fiesta finals this year.
The 2014 Serengeti Fiesta finals are set to be even more colourful
whereby some of the local artists expected to accompany T.I include the likes
of: - Diamond Platnumz, Ya Moto Band, TMK Wanaume Family, Weusi, Tip Top Connection,
Ommy Dimpoz, Alikiba, Mwana Fa, Shaa, Vanessa Mdee, Recho, Linah, Barnaba, Mr.
Blue, Young Killa, Ney wa Mitego and Stamina all set to define and prove indeed
The 2014 Serengeti Fiesta “Ni Sheeedah” that day.
Speaking to journalists a day before the main show was Serengeti Premium Lager’s Brand Manager Mr. Rugambo Rodney who said… “We were eagerly looking forward to this day and indeed everything is working according to plan….Tomorrow is the D-day and mine is to assure our fans that SBL together with prime promotions will deliver one of the best shows of the 2014 Serengeti Fiesta and this is proved by the number of International and local artists on the list”.
As the 2014 Serengeti Fiesta’s D-day
on the horizon, there have been a number of pre-activities also taking place in
Dar. First, Dance la Fiesta a dancing competition that took place at San Siro
Sinza gave judges a headache as who was the best amongst the groups that had
come to compete but at last it was “Wazawa” who walked away with 3million Tsh
after great performances that satisfied the judges, then came the Super Nyota
Divas competition Dar region where “Hellen George” from Dar will face off 16
contestants from other regions for the year’s Serengeti Super Nyota Diva
competition.
Serengeti Fiesta has toured more than
15 regions in Tanzania this year. Fiesta has empowered local citizens in the
regions visited and has also received great recognition in regions that festivals
have happened for the first time such as Kahama, Bukoba and Songea.
