BOA BANK SPONSORS TWO BUSINESSMEN TO AFRICAN FORUM

Creating business networks and learning from others outside has been cited as one of the factors that will make Tanzania’s business community succeed internationally.
Bank of Africa (BOA) Tanzania Managing Director, Mr Ammish Owusu-Amoah, gave the advice in Dar es Salaam recently when bidding farewell to two business people who were leaving for Morocco to attend a continental forum.
The meeting would attract scores of delegates from 17 African countries. The bank has sponsored the two. “We believe that this will expand their knowledge and make them succeed further in their businesses,” he said, adding that his bank always wanted to grow with customers.
He said the meeting that will take place from June 24-25, will greatly help shed light to the two business people on diverse opportunities found in all countries where the bank operates.
“This is a unique opportunity for our colleagues who will attend this meetingthey can help attracting more investors coming in Tanzania,” Mr Owusu-Amoah said.
He said that he believes that benefits accrued will not only be for the two, but also for the bank and the country at large. Business people from China have also been invited in the meeting.
“I advise you to strive and create networks for your benefit and your country as well,” he told them. One of the beneficiaries, the Managing Director of EB Maritime Group, Mr Emmanuel Mallya said the chance was a unique opportunity for them to develop and sell Tanzania’s potentials in areas of business and investment.
“It is crucial that we get to participate in such huge meetings,” he said. He called upon fellow traders in the country to best make use of such opportunies once they happen since they help them grow and progress.
“We are going to utilise this chance to the fullest,” he said. Another businessman, who is the Chief Executive Officer for Maktech Telecommunications, Mr Godwin Makyao said they will publicise Tanzania not only to China, but also to other countries especially those from West Africa who do not yet know Tanzania’s potentials.
“This provides us in the telecommunications sector to sell ideas and tell our colleagues out there what is happening in our country,” he explained.
