BANK OF AFRICA TANZANIA BOOSTS EDUCATION SECTOR

In order to ensure the government efforts to boost education sector in the country, Bank of Africa Tanzania (BoA) has continued to use part of its profits from its banking activities to support public high schools by providing various textbooks.
The bank has this time around offered text books for Mama Salma Kikwete Secondary School in Kinondoni district, Dar es Salaam.
Senior Marketing and Communications Manager for BoA, Mr. Solomon Haule, said the decision to continue supporting the education sector in the country stemmed from their desire to see the mission continues to be one of the key sectors for development.
“Our bank has a policy of building good relations with the community and this fiscal year we have allocated share of profits for the education sector,” he said.
Mr. Haule said in July this year the branch managers for BoA will pass in several schools in their regions listing the schools in need of support.
Assistant Head Teacher for Mama Salma Kikwete School, Philomena Julu said the support would help reduce the challenges of school books as well as helping to promote education.
