An international company, Bravo Africa of South Africa, in partnership with the National Housing Corporation (NHC), has officially commenced the implementation phase of a major modern high-rise development known as Angaza Tower, to be constructed in the heart of Dar es Salaam along Samora Avenue.
The project, which has already entered the contractual stage, forms part of NHC’s broader strategy to attract strategic investment aimed at transforming urban development in Tanzania.
A technical meeting held recently was led by Bravo Africa’s Founder and Chairman, Tiff Willemse, while the NHC Management Team was headed by William Genya, Director of Business Development.
Angaza Tower will be developed across a cluster of prime plots located in the city centre, including Plot Nos. 320/32 (Samora/Mkwepu Avenue), 322/32 (Mansfield/Samora Avenue), 385/32 (Mansfield/Samora Avenue), 592/32 (Bridge/Samora Avenue), 649/32 (Bridge/Samora Avenue), and 650/32 (Bridge/Samora Avenue).
This area is among the most commercially valuable zones in Dar es Salaam, making the project highly significant both economically and strategically.
According to the presented master plan, Angaza Tower will be a mixed-use development, integrating multiple key services within a single complex. These will include modern conference facilities capable of hosting national and international events, hotel services, high-end residential units, rental apartments, and commercial spaces.
This integrated design aims to create a one-stop centre that enhances efficiency in economic and social activities while offering convenience to users.
During the meeting, investors presented a detailed project implementation plan, outlining key preparatory and execution phases. These included the feasibility study, preliminary architectural works such as concept design and building elevation, as well as structural feasibility assessments.
They also highlighted progress in contractual processes and key pre-investment requirements, including securing permits, land title verification, and compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
Beyond technical aspects, the meeting also explored the role of high-rise buildings in the development of major cities. Comparisons were drawn between Dar es Salaam and Cape Town, emphasizing the benefits of vertical development in optimizing land use, boosting urban economies, and attracting investment.
However, challenges such as high construction costs, the need for robust infrastructure, and effective urban management were also discussed.
Participants further analyzed Tanzania’s economic trajectory by examining the relationship between Dar es Salaam and Dodoma, particularly in the context of large-scale real estate investment opportunities.
It was noted that despite Dodoma’s continued growth as the nation’s administrative capital, Dar es Salaam remains the primary commercial and investment hub, reinforcing the strong business case for projects like Angaza Tower.
The Angaza Tower project is expected to become a new symbol of modern development in Dar es Salaam, reflecting NHC’s vision of delivering high-impact projects that contribute to national economic growth.
Through this partnership with Bravo Africa, NHC continues to strengthen its position as a key player in Tanzania’s real estate and urban development sector.
