In a powerful reaffirmation of its long-term investment in Tanzania’s Lake Zone, NCBA Bank hosted an exclusive High Net-Worth Customer Engagement Dinner in Mwanza this past Friday. The event brought together over 150 of the region’s most influential clients and was graced by NCBA's Acting Managing Director, Mr. Alex Mziray, alongside members of the Executive Committee.
The gathering served as a strategic touchpoint ahead of NCBA’s upcoming campaign, “Maisha ni hesabu – Numbers that matter,” which aims to reframe the meaning of numbers in banking—not as cold data, but as deeply personal milestones that reflect clients' dreams, growth, and futures.
“When we say numbers that matter, we mean your children's education, your investments, your businesses, and your journey. Every number has a human face and a future behind it,” said Mr. Mziray in his keynote.
He also highlighted NCBA’s digital transformation, including the soon-to-be-launched revamped internet banking platform and enhancements to the NCBA NOW mobile app, both designed to upgrade customer experiences, not just services.
NCBA’s market leadership in Asset Finance was also spotlighted, reaffirming the bank’s role as a trusted partner for clients seeking customized financing solutions for vehicles, machinery, and capital goods.
Beyond financial services, the event emphasized NCBA’s focus on lifestyle and community engagement through platforms like the NCBA Golf Series, as well as its commitment to sustainability, illustrated by a recent tree-planting initiative along River Mpiji, where over 5,000 trees were planted to support environmental conservation.
“We believe in sustainable progress—one that builds wealth without leaving communities or nature behind,” Mr. Mziray noted.
The evening was described by guests as both “timely and energizing,” serving not only as a progress update but as a clear message: clients matter, their ambitions matter, and NCBA is here to turn those ambitions into reality.
