The K4 factory expansion which is set for completion by June 2025, will significantly boost sugar production capacity. This project aims to meet the increasing demand for sugar while creating numerous opportunities for local farmers. The expanded capacity will enable Kilombero Sugar Company to source more sugarcane from farmers, thus increasing their incomes and contributing to regional economic development.
Speaking at a media briefing in Dodoma, Victor Byemelwa, Communications and Stakeholders Relations Manager for Kilombero Sugar Company, underscored the importance of the initiative.
